Chat GPT Breeds Insecurity (…clearly)
Alright so what’s the DEAL? If you don’t use ChatGPT for work, are you ACTUALLY gonna be “LEFT IN THE DUST”? Like, how much does the polished product of AI bring value vs. the raw thoughts of a human? And now that the annoying part of formatting and polishing can be left to AI, do humans even know how to do it anymore? Do humans naturally do it the same way AI does or is AI training US on how WE should format when it isn’t NECESSARILY the right way?
WHY DO I CARE SO MUCH ABOUT THIS? Is it because I feel incapable of formatting and making my final product without the input of ChatGPT? Could I ever? Is this just the way life is? Are other people freaking out about this, not just as a cultural issue, but within our individual self-worth??
If I want something “better”, is the answer always ChatGPT? How does that impact how we feel about our work? How does that affect the legitimate worth that we have?
Is the worth of human brain power to be a guide for ChatGPT, as we do know that it makes mistakes and requires human guidance… is that the extent of our human brain value?
And as we let ChatGPT lead the charge, are we losing our ability to lead the charge if the time ever comes? Do I want that time to come?
Oh my goodness, am I one of those people who just can’t “GET WITH THE TIMES” and is letting my cheery thoughts on “the old days” cloud my judgement on effort-saving measures that only increase quality and value? IS IT?
