Howdy, I'm Erica J: vibe curator, fun creator, and community fanatic. I'm finding my footing in the creative space: photo, video, social campaigns, storytelling, and more. I thrive on passion and purpose. That sounds generic, I know, but I mean it.
I grew up in rural Maine making photos and videos for fun, took a detour through an environmental engineering degree, and found my footing in the marketing department at Sugarloaf Mountain. There's nothing quite like being part of how a place tells its story and brings people into something meaningful.
I have an eye for the magic moments, where most people cut the cameras and the subject forgets one is even there. Authentic emotion is my obsession.
Coming up on one year in Utah, I'm manifesting meaningful collaborations with people, companies, and nonprofits that bring joy to the communities around them. Any time I can combine that with my outdoor interests, backcountry skiing, running, mountain biking, camping, gardening, frolicking, I try to. If you have a project that involves any of those things, hit me up.

Why ‘Erica’s Empire’
It started as a creative outlet where I could put photos, video edits, writings, and creative projects that didn't have anywhere else to go. I was an engineer at the time, and the ‘empire’ was where the rest of me lived.
The name stuck because it still fits: An empire is never finished. It expands, shifts, takes on new territory. Mine has grown from a personal outlet into a full creative practice that keeps me moving. I want to make this empire a place where everyone feels seen and valued, because that’s how the world should be.
The intention underneath hasn't changed: capture the experiences that make this life worth paying attention to. For myself, for communities, for brands, for anyone who wants their story told well.
